Care & Maintenance

Each piece of jewelry is designed to be worn and loved, but a little care goes a long way in keeping it looking its best! Here's how to care for your special piece:

Rope Jewelry

Each necklace is measured and crafted with care, but variations in cotton rope—especially with recycled materials—can result in slight differences in final length. Some batches may be woven tighter than others, and hand-knotting introduces natural tension shifts. These variations are part of the work's character, adding to the unique quality of each piece.

Made from 100% recycled cotton, rope jewelry can be spot-cleaned—just be sure to keep the metal clasp dry.

To help maintain its shape, we recommend storing your necklace flat. If it shifts over time, simply reshape it gently with your hands. For videos on this, visit our "Care" section in our Instagram archives.

Metalsmith Jewelry

Stone, shell, wood, and metal are natural materials—just like you, they change and evolve over time. Small nicks, scratches, and a natural patina are all part of your jewelry's journey, adding to its unique character.

To slow down metal oxidation and keep porous materials looking their best, avoid water, sweat, and chemicals like perfumes, creams, and makeup. After wearing, gently wipe it with a dry cloth and store it flat in a box to help protect its form and finish.

By taking a little extra care, your jewelry will continue to tell your story for years to come.
